PURPOSE:To surely expose as many photo frames as possible by counting the total number of perforations when a film is preliminarily wound up, obtaining the maximum number of photo-enabled frames, and driving the film to an exposure frame position based on the obtained result. CONSTITUTION:The output from a perforation detector 10 is inputted to a counter circuit 20. While the film is preliminarily wound up, the total of pulses outputted from the perforation detector 10 is counted. An arithmetic circuit 30 calculates the maximum number of photo-enabled frames that corresponds to the number of pulses outputted from the counter circuit 20, and supplies the result to a drive control circuit 40 which generates a control signal for deciding the setting position of a first frame, and another control signal for driving the film to an appropriate exposure frame position. The drive control circuit 40 drives and controls a driving circuit 50 including a film feed motor. The driving circuit 50 feeds and drives the film. Thus such a problem can be prevented that the part exposed in loading film overlaps an actually photographed frame.
