PURPOSE:To execute a speaker-used voice extension call and extension speaking with most suitable voice volume of reception by controlling the amount of speaker voice volume of the opposite from a key telephone set on the caller side. CONSTITUTION:Key telephone sets 7, 8 are provided with a key part 1 to input a voice volume data to control the amount of voice volume of a speaker 3 of the opposite side at the time of voice extension call and extension speaking and with a speaker sound volume adjustment circuit 2 to adjust the voice volume of the speaker 3. A main unit 10 stores the current voice volume data of the speaker in a memory 13, compares it with the voice volume data of the speaker inputted from the key part 1, and the unit 10 is provided with a control part 12 which transmits an instruction to enhance/decrease the voice volume of the speaker to the circuit 2. In such a way, the speaker voice volume of the opposite's key telephone set can be adjusted, hence such inconveniences are eliminated that a call can not be noticed because of inappropriate speaker voice volume of the opposite or that the sidetone of the caller side comes too large when the volume is increased on the caller side.
