The invention relates to a pelletising press with pressing rollers which are rotatably mounted around spindles which are mounted on a pan-grinding head and with an annular die plate which is provided with through holes having inlet apertures, the surfaces of the pressing rollers and of the die plate being equipped with intermeshing teeth. In order to improve a pelletising press of the above type in such a way that its components are protected against destruction in the event of an overload, it is proposed according to the invention that the said press has a disengagement device which is designed and arranged in such a way that, when the press load exceeds a prescribed level, the said device moves the pan-grinding head (1) and/or the die plate (3) to disengage their teeth. One or more springs (6) are used as a disengagement device, one end of each spring being supported by the pan grinding head (1) and/or by the die-plate (3) and the other end of each spring being supported by the press. The path of displacement of the pan-grinding head (1) and/or die plate (3) is adjustable. <IMAGE>
