<p>In a process and devices for the manufacture of pipes with longitudinal seams made from strip material wound on a coil, the strip material is wound off the coil and conformed into a pipe billet round of approximately -shaped cross-section, with the edges of the strip adjacent or overlapping and at least one edge touching the wall of the tube. The edges of the strip are then joined together and the pipe billet round of -shaped cross-section is opened out to the desired cross-section in a sizing train.</p> |
