PURPOSE:To eliminate the complicatedness in handling the refilling of an ink jet head with ink, by connecting a distributor to the leading end of a supply tube to mount the same on a carrier and connecting the ink jet heads injecting the same color ink to said distributor in parallel. CONSTITUTION:Two ink jet heads 1, 1 injecting the same color ink are parallelly provided on the carrier 5 reciprocally moving along the longitudinal direction of a platen 6 through a head base 2 and a distributor 3 is arranged at the position behind said ink jet heads 1, 1. Ink passes through a supply tube 4 from the ink tank 2 provided at the arbitrary place in an apparatus to be once stored in the distribution chamber 9 in the distributor 3 and is supplied to the ink jet heads 1, 1 in the head base 2 from the liquid discharge ports 2a, 2a of the distribution chamber 9. As mentioned above, since the ink is distributed to the ink jet heads 1, 1 using the distributor 3, the supply tube 4 between the ink tank 2 and the ink jet heads 1 can be limited to the min. and the complicatedness of the apparatus can be avoided and the simplification of the refilling handling of the ink jet heads with the ink can be realized. |
