PURPOSE:To obtain a paint composition giving a coating film having excellent weather resistance, chemical resistance, heat-resistance, elasticity and adhesivity, by using a specific fluorine-containing elastic copolymer, a polyhydroxy compound, a vulcanization accelerator and an organic solvent as essential components. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition contains (A) a fluorine-containing elastic polymer having unsaturated carbon-carbon bond (preferably a copolymer containing 2-5% unit derived from vinylidene fluoride), (B) a polyhydroxy compound (e.g. hydroquinone or bisphenol A), (C) a vulcanization accelerator (e.g. methyltrioctylammonium chloride) and (D) an organic solvent (preferably having a boiling point of 30-200 deg.C, e.g/ ethyl acetate). The copolymer A is preferably reacted in a state of aqueous dispersion with an alkaline aqueous solution containing onium compound to introduce C-C unsaturated bond into the polymer.
