The invention relates to a roller blind for dormer windows of the pivoting-sash construction type, in the case of which blind lateral guide rails (114), in which the roller-blind bars are guided, are fixedly connected, at their lower end portion (128) remote from the roller-blind casing (122), to the pivoting sash of the dormer window. In said roller blind, the guide rails (114) are of such a length that a transverse rail (120) connecting their free, lower ends is located beneath the lower leg (105) of the pivoting-sash frame. Consequently, the shaft (147) of a winding-up reel (146), which is mounted within the transverse rail (120) and is intended for the roller-blind pulling cables, is freely accessible next to the lower leg (105), with the result that it can be rotated by means of a manual-actuation device. <IMAGE>
