Apparatus for carrying first-aid material for motorcycles and lightweight motorised two-wheeled vehicles, such as motor-assisted bicycles, mopeds and autocycles in accordance with &sect& 35 h StVZO (Road Traffic Regulations), a part of the apparatus being designed as a supporting surface for the registration plate, protecting the latter from damage, being arranged, directly below the registration plate illumination, detachably on the rear mudguard by means of screws or other devices, and being situated at a location which is only very rarely endangered or damaged in the event of an accident involving the motorcycle. Whether as a reusable or as a disposable container, the types of closure are designed such that it is possible for anyone to reach the first-aid material without further devices. Without violating existing regulations, such as adequate illumination of the registration plate, or adhering to a specific angular position of the registration plate, the volume of the container can be selected to be of any desired size, in order to be able to undertake adequate emergency medical care of the injured. Finally, since it can be produced preferably from plastics, the invention provides a low-cost apparatus and its acquisition can be expected of every motorcycle owner.
