The rotor (3), which is received eccentrically rotatably in a stator, of conventional eccentric spiral pumps used for conveying mortar represents a costly component which is exposed to great wear in particular on the pressure side and which is usually discarded after wear occurs on one side. The aim of the invention consists in guaranteeing better utilisation of the rotor (3) and in this manner contributing to increasing the life of the functional unit consisting of stator and rotor (3). In an eccentric spiral pump according to the invention, both face-side ends of the rotor (3) are provided with square profiles, the external dimensions of which are dimensioned smaller than the core diameter of the rotor (3). The possibility thus exists, in the event of wear of the rotor (3) occurring on one side, of inserting the same into the stator in the opposite direction so that the region which is not yet worn now passes into the high-wear pressure-side part of the stator. A contribution is thus made to a more complete utilisation of the rotor (3), in particular in the case of such eccentric spiral pumps, by means of which a great delivery height is to be overcome or which, for other reasons, have to apply a great output pressure. <IMAGE>
