NEW MATERIAL:The compound expressed by formula I {X is halogen; Y is -OR<1> [R<1> is (substituted) lower alkyl], -O-(R<2>O)m-R<3> (R<2> is lower alkylene; R<3> is lower alkyl; m is 2-6), etc.; Z is -CH=CH2, -CH2CH2Cl or -CH2CH2OSO3H; W is lower alkoxy; p and r are 0 or 1; q is 1-3} as free acid. EXAMPLE:The compound of formula II. USE:A pigment for dyeing cellulose and nitrogen-containing fiber to greenish yellow color. PREPARATION:1mol. of a triazine compound of formula III is condensed with 1mol. of a compound of formula IV (as free acid) in an aqueous medium to obtain a compound of formula V (as free acid). Separately, 1mol. of a compound of formula VI (as free acid) is diazotized and coupled with 1mol. of the compound of formula V produced by the above process.
