PURPOSE:To reduce harmful components from a signal and to improve the quality of a reproduced image by providing a specified low-pass filter in the route of a read signal of a recording information from a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:The low-pass filter 9 is provided on the route of a read signal of a recording information from a recording medium in which video FM signals and digital voice signals are recorded by frequency-division multiplexing, and the interrupting frequency of the low-pass filter 9 is set in a value higher than the white peak frequency of a video FM signal and lower than the color subcarrier wave frequency included in the upper first side band of the video SM signal. As a result, particularly a beat hindrance occurring in a reproduced chroma signal can be remarkably decreased, and the deterioration in quality of a reproduced image due to mixed modulation hindrance spectrum can be remarkably ameliorated.
