For fastening the winding rolls, the chuck is adjusted by means of a driven adjusting spindle 15 and a spindle nut 16 which can be displaced axially by said spindle and is connected to the chuck. The connection between the chuck and the spindle nut 16 is designed as a frictional-engagement connection 17, 19, 20. A force generator 18 applies a desired pressing force on the frictional-engagement connection 17, 19, 20 whereas said pressing force on the connection can be relieved by the reaction force acting on the winding roll during axial fastening.
