PURPOSE:To permit diagnosis of abnormality of electric appliances such as transformers simply by preparing just one extraction gas sample by using C2H2, C2H4, C2H6 and CO2 as the objects of analysis. CONSTITUTION:Purging of a fluid circulation system is first executed by a carrier gas. The purging gas is supplied to an extraction device 10 side and gas chromatograph 22 side, respectively from a cock 11 at this time. After a specified volume of a sample is measured by a sample oil measuring pipe 5, the sample is transferred into an extraction vessel 8. The carrier gas is then blown out into the sample oil S2 and the extraction gas is sent to a column C1. A packing material having the high affinity to the gas to be analyzed is used in the column C1. A cock 15 is changed over to pass the carrier gas to a column C2 at the point of the time when the gas to be analyzed is completely transferred into the column C2. The component flowing out of the column C2 is passed through a methanizer and the concn. of the gas is measured by a flame ionization detector 19.
