PURPOSE:To improve the operability of a portable terminal equipment by sequring the tilt of a display device even at the side opposite to an operator. CONSTITUTION:An operator performs an input operation via a keyboard 4 and tilts the display picture of the result of said input operation to the opposite side (the customer side) through the dial control. Thus a detection switch 6 is turned on and a CPU 10 receives signals via an interface 13 to replace the contents of a display buffer in a RAM 12. In other words, the display screen of a liquid crystal display 7 is vertically inverted. In such a way, the operability is improved with a portable terminal equipment.
