LIPOSOME ENTRAPPED N-METHYL-D-ASPARTATE RECEPTOR BLOCKERS

A dosage unit suitable for intravenous administration which contains an effective amount of a N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor blocking compound contained in positively charged, unilamellar liposomes capable of releasing the blocking compound and a pharmaceutically acceptable solution is disclosed. Methods of treating traumatic injuries to the brain and spinal column are also discussed.
