PURPOSE:To prevent an injury that a hand or a finger is caught around a pivoting axis by providing a shielding plate covering a full angle, at which a business machine opens, around the pivoting axis between both sides intersecting orthogonally with the pivoting axis for both upper and lower unit covers so as to firmly fix the plate to one unit. CONSTITUTION:The shielding plate 5 covering the full angle at which the business machine opens is provided on a part where a user may feel ache if his hand is caught, i.e. around the pivoting axis 3 on the side intersecting orthogonally with the pivoting axis 3 for the upper and lower units 1 and 2. The shielding plate 5 forms, for instance, a fan shape using the pivoting axis 3 for the upper and lower units 1 and 2 as a center, and the lower edge of the plate 5 is firmly fitted to the cover 6 of the lower unit 2. Thus the upper and lower unit covers can prevent the injury that a hand or a finger may be caught. |
