PURPOSE:To continuously collect the fare even when the connection is cut with a central device by producing a switch signal when the inquiry signal is interrupted for a prescribed time or linger and storing the fare data into a spare register area while the switch signal is available. CONSTITUTION:The inquiry signals, e.g., the polling/selecting signals are produced periodically from a central device. A time limit means 30 sets the prescribed time limit at the value rather longer than the cycle of the inquiry signal. Thus it is possible to detect the accidents occurring at a transmission line or the central device based on a fact that the inquiry signal exceeds said time limit. Therefore the occurrence of an accident is decided when the time limit exceeds the prescribed value and the means 30 is made produce immediately a switch signal. A fare data register means 40 stores all fare data into a spare data register area 22 of large capacity regardless of the presence or absence of the remaining memory capacity of a working register area 21 of the means 30 as long as the switch signal is available. As a result, a fare collecting device is kept under a working state for a long time despite occurrence of an accident of the central device. |
