<p>Welding rod, primarily steel welding rod, including high proportions of alloying substances and intended to furnish filler material in electrical welding processes, the rod, in cross-section, including a central metal core and at least one metallic layer which extends concentrically around the core. The rod is particularly characterized in that it includes at least one metallic cross-section part, preferably the core, which comprises a material of relatively good electrical conductivity, wherewith, in suitable instances, a core of non-alloyed, or low-alloyed, low-carbon steel is present and also a layer which extends concentrically around the core and which contains alloying substances in proportions which correspond to an essential part of the alloying substance content of the welding metal intended to be produced by means of the rod.</p> |
