<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the input of a cut size and a preliminary scan by confirming the state of a picture signal in order to form an image on a photosensitive body after a timer means has completed counting and discriminating whether roll sheets are cut in a fixed width size or a fixed length size. CONSTITUTION:Based on the timer means and the picture signal showing picture length determined by the length of an original in a picture scanning direction and a selected copying magnification, a discrimination means automatically discriminates the cut length of the roll sheets 31 and 33, i.e. whether they are cut in the fixed width size or the fixed length size. Therefore the operator need not input the cut length into a device. Moreover the discrimination means discriminates when an image is formed on a photosensitive body; therefore no preliminary scan to generate the picture signal is needed.</p> |
