<p>PURPOSE:To extend the life of a heat generating resistor, by storing a scale line signal and an input signal in a shift register and shifting the memory signal of the shift register each time when recording paper is changed over or at every M-scale lines by a shift controller to output the same. CONSTITUTION:The scale signal corresponding to set input from a scale pattern generating part 3 and the input signal subjected to A/D conversion from an A/D converter 2 are simultaneously stored in a shift register 5. A shift controller 4 receives the signal of a recording paper exhaustion detecting part 1 to send a control signal for shifting the signals stored in the register 5 by one figure in a forward direction to the register 5. As a result, the scale shifted by one figure in the forward direction and the input signal are recorded on thermal recording paper 9. That is, the scale reference line 20 after shifting becomes the position of the heat generating body of the (a+1)-th figure from the left end of a head and the scale highest line 21 after shifting is also shifted by one figure in a forward direction. Therefore, if 'no shift' and 'one figure shift in forward direction' are alternately set at each time when a roll of recording paper is finished, two heat generating bodies recording the scale line are alternately changed over each time when a roll of the recording paper is finished.</p> |
