PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of a printing device by monitoring flashing actions to detect the omission of fixing which is peculiar to a flash fixing system and executing reprinting. CONSTITUTION:If the omission of light emission occurs in a xenon lamp, it appears as the failure of pulse in a light receiving signal 27 detected by a light receiver 17 and the light receiving signal 27 is sampled with a flash trigger signal for the light emission of the xenon lamp in a printing control circuit 25 so as to recognize the omission of light emission. In this case, the printing control circuit 25 calculates the page of omitting the light emission and holds it until a job including the page of omitting the light emission is completed. And it sets the held value of the page of omitting the light emission in a page counter 23 at the time of completing the job and the page counter 23 reads out the data of the page of omitting light emission to a printing buffer 26 again to execute the printing again. Thus the page of omitting the light emission is reprinted in the final page of the job, so that restoration is executed. The printing control circuit 25 reports that the omission of light emission occurs and executes the process of informing it to an operator in parallel with these actions. |
