PURPOSE:To correctly execute separation of light into spectral components even in an intersection part of two kinds of dichroic mirrors, by constituting the titled device so that two kinds of dichroic mirrors are combined so as to come into contact with each other in a position where edge parts of reflecting surfaces of two kinds of dichroic mirrors intersect. CONSTITUTION:Two kinds of dichroic mirrors 13, 14 are placed so as to intersect, and an incident light is separated into spectral components by a difference of the wavelength. In this case, two kinds of dichroic mirrors 13, 14 are combined so as to come into contact with each other in a position where edge parts of reflecting surfaces of two kinds of dichroic mirrors 13, 14 intersect. In such a way, in the intersection part of two kinds of dichroic mirrors, it does not occur that one dichroic mirror is missing, and even in the intersection part, separation of light into spectral components is executed correctly.
