PURPOSE:To easily and surely detect a gas in liquid by detecting the gas in liquid extracted by bubbling a gas to a sample liquid by using a gas detecting pipe. CONSTITUTION:After the inside of a gas extraction vessel 1 and a flow passage is cleaned by gaseous N2, the flow passage of a cock 10 is communicated with a flow passage 12 for connecting the detecting pipe and thereafter, a valve 6 is closed. One end of a means 14 for detecting the gas in liquid which is opened at both ends is inserted into a part 13 for connecting the detecting tube, following which a flow rate selector cock 15 is changed over to inject a specified volume of the liquid from a liquid injection port 17 into the vessel 1. The valve 6 is opened in the final to introduce the gaseous N2 into the liquid 2. The gas in liquid is introduced together with the gaseous N2 through a gas feed pipe 4 and a trap 9 to the means 14 for detecting the gas in liquid. A detecting agent discolors if the component reacting with the detecting agent in the means 14 exits in the gas in liquid.
