<p>PURPOSE:To improve lubricating performance, keep temperature constant, and perform uniform fuel feeding by providing a heat exchanger for exchanging heat between a lubricating oil for carrying out the lubrication in a cam chamber and fuel, in said cam chamber of a fuel injection pump. CONSTITUTION:A cam chamber 4 is provided on the lower part of a pump body 1, and the bottom-part opening 1a of the pump body 1 is closed by a blind cover 13 in which tapered fins 16 which form a meandering passage 15 are projected out of a bottom face 14. The blind cover 13, together with its cover 22, is fixed to the pump body 1 via a packing 21 with bolts 23 in such a way that its bottom face comes to the bottom part side of the pump body 1 on the upper part and its open face comes downside. The inlet 18 of fuel is formed on one side face while the outlet 20 of fuel is formed on the other side face of the blind cover 13, to carry out heat exchange between lubricating oil in the cam chamber 4 on the lower part of the pump body 1 and fuel which flows in the passage between the fins 16.</p> |
