PURPOSE:To enable control at high speed without requiring a special gas- pressure controller by controlling the gas pressure of a gas laser oscillator by a numerical controller. CONSTITUTION:Gas pressure necessary for a laser output required for specified machining is input from a keyboard 18. Gas pressure input is memorized to a non-volatile memory in a gas-pressure setting means 17. The pressure of a laser tube 3a is measured by a pressure sensor 6, and transmitted over an AD converter 11 as an analog voltage value. The AD converter 11 converts the analog value into a digital one, and transmits it over a gas-pressure control means. The gas-pressure control means compares a set value and a measured value, and outputs a signal, where a deviation between the set value and the measured value is brought to zero, as a digital value. The output signal is converted into an analog output signal by a DA converter 13, and sent to a driver 14. The driver 14 converts the analog value into a current value proportional to an input, and controls the opening of a variable control valve 2. Accordingly, gas pressure in the laser tube is kept constant. |
