PURPOSE:To improve the quality of Japanese word sentences by using a continuous use discontinuation form detecting means to detect the continuous use discontinuation forms of verbs, adjectives, adjective verbs and auxiliary verbs respectively. CONSTITUTION:A continuous use discontinuation form detecting function block 3 works to detect the continuous use discontinuation forms from the head through the end of a character string text stored in a character text storing part 4 with reference to the tables 51-56 stored in a table storing part 5. Then the information is given to the detected continuous use discontinuation forms so that the relevant character string can be discriminated from other character strings for display. Then a word processing function block group 2 excluding the block 3 is started for input, correction, editing, display, output, etc., of a character string text. Thus the use of the continuous use discontinuation forms of a sentence under production can be automatically detected with no omission for elaboration and correction. As a result, the quality is improved for Japanese sentences.
