PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of an image variation by providing an electrifier control means, and controlling high or low a grid voltage of an electrifier in accordance with flickering of an electrification pre-exposure. CONSTITUTION:An electrifier control means 16 can control a grid voltage of an electrifier 3 by ON and OFF of an electrification pre-exposure. When a part which is subjected to the electrification pre-exposure passes through under the electrifier 3, the grid voltage of the electrifier 3 can be set, for instance, so as to become high, and when a part which is not subjected to the electrification pre-exposure passes through under the electrifier 3, the grid voltage of the electrifier 3 can be set, for instance, so as to become low. Also, by setting appropriately a value of the voltage, the generation of a potential difference due to a difference of an optical fatigue state of an image forming body 1 between the time when the electrification pre-exposure is executed and the time when it is not executed, and the generation of an image variation thereby can be prevented.
