PURPOSE:To simplify installation of a piping and to facilitate maintenance and servicing, by a method wherein a male screw is situated to the end part of a pipe connection part, and the outer peripheral surface, except the male screw, of a valve body is covered with a synthetic resin layer. CONSTITUTION:A valve body 1 is integrally formed by using a metallic member, e.g. cast iron, and is provided on both ends with pipe connection parts 11. The valve body 1 is provided approximately at its central part with a stem support part 12. A male screw 110 is situated to the outer periphery of the end part of the pipe connection part 11, and the outer peripheral surface, except the male screw 110, of the valve body 1 is covered by painting power of polyvinyl chloride resin or with a synthetic resin layer 10 of vinyl chloride resin, polyethylene resin. This constitution eliminates an anticorrosion work in which a seal tape is wound around the outer peripheral surface of the valve body after installation of a piping.
