Arrangement for lifting aircraft.

The arrangement includes pref. three hydraulic jacks (4) under the nose and wings of the aircraft. The jacks are connected to a control unit (5) with a switch for selective manual or automatic operation in conjunction with an attitude sensor (3) attached to the underside of the fuselage. In manual operation each individual jack (4) can be raised or lowered e.g. by a joystick. In practice the three jacks are first positioned manually under the jacking points and adjusted for level with a pendulum and target device. The control is then switched to automatic operation during which the attitude of the aircraft is maintained constant throughout the lifting process.
