<p>PURPOSE:To shorten the time for movement of a book-binding device by placing the device in the retracted position which does not form obstacle for exhaustion of sheets, eliminating risk of hindering movement of bins, and stopping them at a point between the book-binding position and retracted position. CONSTITUTION:In retracted position (a) which does not form obstacle for exhaustion of sheets, a micro-switch 45 is actuated by a cam 27, which moves in a single piece with the shaft 25 of a staipler, while another micro-switch 46 deactuated. When a staiple command is given, the shaft 25 rotates, and the switches 45, 46 are deactuated and actuated, respectively, to provide sensing about movement to the book-binding position, followed by book-binding action. The cam 27 is moved to the position where the two micro-switches are actuated, and the staipler moves to the position which does not hinder movement of bins. From this position, book-binding actions are repeated. This shortens the time for movement of book-binding device.</p> |
