<p>PURPOSE:To execute periodic inspection of a spherical gas tank without stopping the feed of fuel to a consuming system, by a method wherein temporary built tanks each having a given capacity are connected in parallel from the upper stream side to the downstream side of the spherical gas tank. CONSTITUTION:Liquefied gas stored in a liquid tank 1 is fed to an evaporator 5 located in a feed system 2 with the aid of a pump 4. The gasified gas is fed to a consuming system as it is stored in a spherical gas tank 8. When periodic inspection of the spherical gas tank 8 is carried out, the number of the temporary built tanks 13 is set to a value so as to have a capacity equivalent to or more than that of the spherical gas tank 8. The same number of temporary installed evaporators 12 as that of the built temporary tanks responding to the capacity of the temporary built tanks 13 are prepared. A liquefied gas flow passage is shifted to temporary built equipment for bypassing, and after explosionproof countermeasure is applied on the interior of the spherical gas tank 8, the tank is released for periodic inspection.</p> |
