PURPOSE:To impart a large amount of amino groups to a carrier, by drying a uniform dispersion of grafted particles formed by adding inorg. oxide particles having a specific primary particle size to a hydroxysilane-containing aqueous medium. CONSTITUTION:Inorg. oxide particles having a primary particle size of 0.001-0.1mum are added to an aqueous medium containing di- or trihydroxysilane represented by formula I (wherein R' is an -NH2-group-containing org. group and n is an integer of 2 or 3) and the aforementioned hydroxysilane is grafted to fine particles to form grafted fine particles. Subsequently, the formed mixture is homogenized to prepared a uniform aqueous medium dispersion which is, in turn, dried to form an inorg. carrier for immobilized enzyme.
