PURPOSE:To improve engagement retention property and prevent shift disengagement by making such that a counter gear on an counter shaft of a transmission, receiving a thrust at the time of synchronous engagement with a synchronizer, is pressed toward the synchronizer. CONSTITUTION:On a counter shaft 16 are mounted counter gears 28, 30, 36, 38 separated from each other and positioned by means of bushes 48, 50, 52, 54 a synchronizer 34 for shifting between high and low speeds, and a synchronizer 40 for shifting between forward and reverse movements. Further, the counter gears 28, 30, 36, 38 for engaging with each of the synchronizers 34 and 40 according to shifts are provided with formed tooth shapes so as to be pressed toward the synchronizers 34, 40 sides due to engagement thrust at the time of engagement. As a result, it is constituted to firmly maintain a synchronized engagement.
