<p>The hammering device uses electric current in coils to control hammer element comprising magnetic material. The device comprises a slide rod (96) that is supported in a frame (4) and is movable normally to, and can be brought into striking contact with, the wall (a) of, e.g., a hopper or pipeline, etc. The rod consists of a nonmagnetic head (8) which strikes the wall and an rear end portion (7) of magnetic material and is surrounded by coils (11,12) mounted on the frame. The force of impact of the slide rod against the wall and the frequency of strikes are controlled by controlling current to the coils.</p> |
