PURPOSE:To enable repeated printing of the same character line at any position without the need to make repeated entry of specific data considering a printing position by providing a constitution in which printing action is suspended when a break point data is detected following selected character data during printing. CONSTITUTION:A predetermined document is prepared and stored in a composition data storage part 56 by repeating processings such as character symbol clause entry, Kana/Kanji conversion and Kanji selection. In this case, a predetermined break point code ('stop' code) is written in created document data stored in the composition data storage part 56 against an input position for 'stop' key 15b operated for any clause. If 'stop' code is read following document data to be printed from the composition data storage part 56, its detection signal is output from a data identification part 60, resulting in the stopping of an output on printing execution command from a control 51 and subsequent suspension of its printing action. Therefore, the printing of a clause sectioned with the 'stop' code is repeated.
