<p>To detect the separation of the jaws (24 and 26) of the gripper arm when gripping an article or articles for insertion in an envelope a pair of disc magnets in a holder (426) attached to the moving jaw (26) slide past a Hall-effect sensor (412). A resilient bracket (430) biasses the magnets against the surface of the sensor (412), thus maintaining a uniform spacing.</p> |
