PURPOSE:To wind up a sheet into a high quality sheet roll and to enhance the operational availability and efficiency with no risk by separating a wind-up core in association with rectilinear motion effected by guiding a wind-up core support mechanism with the use of a slide mechanism, and by associating a sheet roll conveying device with the wind-up core support mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A wind-up core C is separated laterally from a touch roller T in association with rectilinear motion effected by guiding a wind-up core support mechanism 4 with the use of a slide mechanism 6, and a sheet roll conveying device 123 is associated with the wind-up core support device 4. Accordingly, it may provided an anti- oscillation structure against force exerted from a sheet roll R on winding, and therefore the oscillation of the wind-up core is restrained so that a sheet is wound into a high quality sheet roll R. When the receiving of the sheet roll is required, the sheet roll conveying device 12 is associatingly elevated at once to receive the same, and conveys it out of the machine. Accordingly, the preparation of the next winding process is made at once to be possible, efficiently with no danger to the worker. Further, it is possible to support the sheet roll R in a short time before the roll R is released, thereby it is possible to enhance the operational availability.
