PURPOSE:To estimate a remaining life of a ground type tank, by a method wherein the stress of a tank wall material and the number of repeating times from a displacement.stress detector, and fatigue analysis is made on the recorded data. CONSTITUTION:A life measuring device 10 for an ground type tank has a stress detector 13 formed with a strain gauge 11 and a dynamic strain gauge 12. In the dynamic strain gauge 12, from a strain of a part where each strain gauge 11 is laminated, stress is determined. In the determined stress of each part, the magnitude thereof and the number of times are fed to a recorder 14 at each time. An S-N curve 15 representing the fatigue limit of a low temperature resistant material by which an inner tank 5 is formed is inputted as a data for fatigue analysis to the recorder 14. The so recorded actual measurements and data for fatigue analysis are fed to a processing computer 16, where fatigue analysis is made thereon. |
