PURPOSE:To obtain ceramic printing pins for dot printer of long life for its improved abrasion resistance and tenacity and light-weight which enable high speed printing by specifying the material used of a composite sinter of alumina- zirconia carbonized silicon. CONSTITUTION:The grain size of part stabilized zirconia powder ranges from 0.1 to 1.0mum. If the dosage is not less than 5%, its efficacy to provide tenacity is not significant. On the other hand, if the dosage is 50% or more, the hardness decreases. Therefore, the typical range is 5-50%. For carbonized silicon whisker, if the aspect ratio is not more than 3, the efficacy of providing tenacity is adequate, and if more than 200, the mentioned effect reduces, so that the range should be 3-200. If the diameter exceeds 1mum, the strength deteriorates, so that the diameter should be 1mum or less. In order to provide the sufficient efficacy of carbonized whisker, the dosage should be at least 3% or more. On the contrary, if the dosage exceeds 40%, the strength deteriorates so that the dosage should be 3-40%. |
