摘要 PURPOSE:To enable execution of running at a proper change gear ratio responding to an actual car speed, by a method wherein, when, during control of gear shifting of a motor bicycle and other vehicle for running on an irregular ground, a drive wheel is slipped and over rotation occurs to the wheel, a change gear ratio is controlled to value right before a slip. CONSTITUTION:When a vehicle runs to a muddy spot during running and a rear wheel Wr is slipped due to rapid opening of a throttle, the rear wheel Wr is brought into a state approximately similar to racing, and the number of revolutions of an engine and the rotation speed of the rear wheel Wr are rapidly in creases. In which case, it is decided that, with the increase in a rear wheel rotation speed V, a slip is started, and the change gear ratio of a continuously variable transmission TM is held at a value right before a slip. When the rear wheel Wr bites a running road surface, a change gear ratio matching an actual car speed is ensured to prevent decrease of a drive force, and enough acceleration can be maintained.
