PURPOSE:To completely shift stacked articles with no cause of inferiority, by allowing a shifting belt attached to a thin table to enter so that the belt led from a position below the leading end of a layer of paper to a position thereabove. CONSTITUTION:A thin trapezoidal table 1 is supported retractably on support rollers 2, 2, and further, belt rollers 7, 7 having a small diameter are provided at front and rear ends of the table 1 so as to hold an endless shifting belt 11. When the table 1 and the belt 11 is moved by means of a gear from the shifting position (b) to the original position (a), the belt 11 is rotated in the direction reverse to the advancing direction of the belt 11 by an amount twice as long as the advancing distance of the table 1 so as to enter below a layer of paper 15 so that the layer of paper 15 is lowered and set into a shifting member 18, from is leading end, without no friction slipping between the layer of paper and the belt 11.
