PURPOSE:To obtain a timepiece wide with a high magnetic resistance effect at a relatively low cost, by forming a coated film containing soft or hard magnetic particles in addition to an external exposure section of the timepiece side. CONSTITUTION:A timepiece side which is made of material with a better machinability such as brass traditionally used is subjected to a surface finishing and a surface treatment as desired. A part required for decoration is masked and a coated film containing soft and hard magnetic material particles such as iron-cobalt, iron-nickel and nickel-boron. This provides a timepiece side with a high magnetic resistance effect at a relatively low cost.
