PURPOSE:To realize stable operations at a high speed, by inverting a cartridge in such a way that the cartridge is rotated while its side is grasped by a grasping means provided on a moving body and held by means of a 1st guide member provided to the moving body and a 2nd guide member provided to a holding body. CONSTITUTION:A moving body 29 which can move within the extent between the open end and closed end of a C-shaped holding body 28 held in a rotatable state and the engaging section on the side of a cartridge 1 can be grasped by a grasping means provided to the moving body 29. The front section of the cartridge 1 is guided by the 1st guide section 52 and put in the 2nd guide member 58 which is opened wider than the thickness of the cartridge 1 and provided at the open end of the holding body 28. Therefore, the cartridge 1 is surely held even when the holding body 28 rotates and the cartridge 1 can be carried, inserted, and removed smoothly at high speeds.
