PURPOSE:To allow a slave station to restore to actual data transmission by sending a forced restoration signal from a master station so as to allow the slave station to ensure the physical connection state simply. CONSTITUTION:If open line takes place and a disconnected slave station 2c is connected physically, a forced restoration signal is sent from a master station 1. Thus, adjacent connected slave stations 2b, 2d are switched temporarily and forcibly into the data-through state. Thus, a signal line input or a loopback line input is supplied to the connected slave station 2c, the slave station 2c is switched in the loopback state to supply an input data to the adjacent slave station 2d in the data-through state. As a result, the data-through state of the adjacent slave station 2d is maintanined to attain the data transmission to and the data reception from all slave stations 2a-2e.
