发明名称 PICTURE INFORMATION CODING METHOD
摘要 PURPOSE:To simplify a hardware and to attain an effective software process by previously preparing an alteration point table expressing the position of the alteration points of the respective lines of picture information with the number of picture elements from the beginning end of line. CONSTITUTION:An alteration point detection circuit 11 examines the black-and- white inversion of the picture information outputted from a line input buffer 8 and detects the inverted picture element as an alteration point. When the circuit 11 detects the alteration point, it transmits an increment signal S3 and a write timing signal S4 to a table address counter 13 and an alteration point table buffer 12 respectively. And the alteration point detection circuit 11 transmits an increment signal 55 to the internal counter of a line terminating end detection circuit 10 at every time it executes the increment to an alteration point address counter 9. Thus, the coding process of picture information is separated to a noncounting information process for generating the alteration point table and a counting information process for coding a coded line by referring to the alteration point table. Then the efficiency of a process and the speed-up of the process can be enhanced.
