PURPOSE:To safely obtain the titled substance without using expensive sulfite, etc., by reacting an aliphatic ketone solution containing diisopropylbenzene dihydroperoxide, etc., in the presence of a Mo catalyst with propylene or butene. CONSTITUTION:An aliphatic ketone solution containing 10-35wt.% diisopropyl benzene dihydroperoxide and/or (2-hydroxy-2-propyl)cumenehydroperoxide is reacted with propylene or butene at 80-130 deg.C and 10-30atom to provide the titled compound. The aimed compound is useful as a synthetic raw material of peroxide useful as a radical polymerization initiator or a raw material for urethane having excellent light stability and the above-mentioned method has advantage capable of simultaneously obtaining propylene oxide or butene oxide. |
