This guide system comprises tape guide elements which are at least partially in contact with the film face, i.e. back, and coated face, i.e. front, of the magnetic tape, the film face and the coated face having different surface resistances. The system also comprises tape guide elements which are partially in contact with film face (back) and with the coated face (front) of the magnetic tape, the film face and the coated face having different charge affinities. The invention reduces or prevents tape from sticking onto the guide rollers or pins.
