PURPOSE:To make it possible to apply an electromotive power unit to a large size automobile without using a large capacity by composing a power steering device in combining a pneumatic power unit and an electromotive power unit. CONSTITUTION:A torque sensor 13 is furnished between an upper shaft 16 and a lower shaft 17 and an electromotive power unit 19 is furnished between the lower shaft 17 and a column 18. The input shaft 29 of a pneumatic power unit 28 is connected to the lower end of the lower shaft 17 through a universal joint 30, and a pitman arm 6 is fixed to the output shaft 31 of the pneumatic power unit 28. When a steering wheel 1 is operated, the upper shaft 16 is rotated, whose torque is transmitted to the lower shaft 17 through a cam 21, a piezoelectric element 23R, a spring 24, and the like, and a power cylinder is driven through a control valve 32. An electric motor 26 is driven by the signal from the piezoelectric element 23R. |
