PURPOSE:To improve the magnetic characteristics of a molded product for electromagnetic use without carrying out mechanical working by powder forging the molded product made of powder having a regulated compsn. to increase the density. CONSTITUTION:Powder having a compsn. consisting of Fe, 0.2-2% P, 1-8% Si, 45-78% Ni and 13-18% Cr is uniformly mixed as starting material. The mixed powder is press-molded, heated and hot forged in a hermetically sealed state to obtain a molded product for electromagnetic use having >=95% density ratio. Thus, the molded product of a complex shape can be obtd. at high density and the electromagnetic characteristics can be improved in accordance with the increase of the density ratio.
