SUPPORTING MECHANISM FOR FLAME IMAGE PROPAGATION MEMBER

PURPOSE:To enable a supporting mechanism for a propagation member to be used for a long period by bringing an observation window into contact with a fixed member by a mechanical means and fixing it. CONSTITUTION:A tapered surface 32 formed at the inner periphery of the fixed member 22 and a tapered surface 33 formed at the outer periphery of the observation window 31 contact each other. Further, a holder 27 formed in the observation window 31 engages a step part 34. Consequently, the supporting mechanism for the propagation member is so constituted that the tapered surfaces 32 and 33 contact each other and the holder 27 engages the step part 34 of the observation window 31 and is fixed to the fixed member 22 by being screwed in. Consequently, even when this mechanism is used for a long time at the high- temperature part in a combustion chamber, the airtightness is held. Consequently, the supporting mechanism for the propagation member can be used for a long period.
